Zinesters Local 55104 is a club that gives students a space to be creative and find community. Through zines students learn how to DIY publish their own art, writing or anything in between. We offer a safe space where students can make the art they wanna make. Zinesters educate about the possibilities of zines, teach people how to make a zine, and show anyone can make art!

Untold Magazine tackles the underground and under-discussed at Hamline. We're storytellers inspired by many forms, from feature writing to zines and photography to collage. We tell the strange and serious stories of our community in equally strange and serious ways. We release a new issue every Fall and Spring in print and online at hamlineuntold.com.

YDSA is the youth and student section of the Democratic Socialists of America, the largest socialist organization in the United States. Our members are dedicated to building progressive movements for social change and establishing a strong presence in politics. Rooted in a commitment to democracy, we fight for reforms that challenge corporate power and empower working people, aiming to create a more equitable society.  Our vision, democratic socialism, seeks a free, humane society with meaningful work, sustainable growth, and equality. YDSA rejects the current global economic order based on private profit, discrimination, and environmental harm, advocating for a more just international social order. A better and more just world is possible - we have to fight for it!

Our goal is to share the beauty and traditions of Vietnamese culture. We’re all about learning together, welcoming everyone who’s curious or passionate about discovering what makes Vietnamese culture unique. Everyone is welcome!  It’s a safe and inclusive space for anyone to explore and appreciate Vietnamese traditions. No need to be Vietnamese to join; we’re open to all!

The purpose of this Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) is to recognize academic achievements in first-generation college students, create enthusiasm for scholarship, to promote leadership, and to provide support networks for first-generation students within and across college chapter

Theta Chi is a Fraternity focused on the development of its members into more professional and academically focused men, while also doing it's part to improve the community it inhabits through philanthropy. Founded in 1856 and at Hamline since 1901, Theta Chi Fraternity is a men’s collegiate fraternity with more than 191,000 initiated members and has established 243 chapters. Leadership development, personal development, and service to alma mater are fundamental to Theta Chi Fraternity’s mission.  Whether you are looking for a close group of friends, professional connections to our over 160,000 living alumni, or just to be a part of something bigger than yourself, then Theta Chi is the place for you.

The Oracle has been published by Hamline students since 1888. This paper is funded through a student fee levied by the university’s Student Media Board. We are a public forum. The opinions expressed within are not necessarily those of the student body, faculty or staff. Our weekly print issue is published on Tuesdays and is distributed throughout campus. Our mission is to cover news, trends, events and entertainment relevant to the Hamline community. We strive to make our coverage accurately reflect the diverse communities that comprise the student population and surrounding area.

Student-athletes working to promote opportunity, build connections with campus faculty and community organizations, and fostering a positive student-athlete image as representatives of Hamline University and its athletic programs.

The purpose of Spectrum is to provide awareness and a community of inclusivity about and for LGBTQ+ people, as well as those with related identities and allies. We encourage understanding, tolerance, and self pride by having meetings at least every other week that reflect these values as well as creating social events with the same mentality in mind. We support lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, and asexual identities, and allied individuals on campus and their families in times of crisis and in times of peace. Queer and Trans identities will be the focus of Spectrum's energies but will not be limited to as deemed by the membership of Spectrum.

The world around us is full of fascinating and mysterious phenomena. Physics enables us to unravel these mysteries through experimentation and discovery; a dialogue with the universe, who shares its secrets with us so that we may improve the lives of those around us–but learning the language of the universe isn’t easy. In the Society of Physics Students, we aim to deepen the community among those interested in physics by providing spaces to connect and cool opportunities to engage with the natural world! These spaces include weekly physics seminars (open to the public, and snacks are provided), general meetings, astronomy nights, STEM research/internship panels, and more! Sketch 'n Paint is a club aimed to create a community for artists. We want to provide a space for artists to learn and have fun in traditional and digital mediums of the fine arts. Our principal activities for the club are exercises that will hone their art skill, like freestyle, gesture drawings, still-life, master-studies, notans, etc. Any medium is allowed when doing the activities (Pencil, Charcoal, Acrylic, Watercolor, Markers, Digital Painting, etc). It’s recommended to bring your own material if you want to do your own medium, but we do provide supplies. 

No matter what level you’re at, from casual enjoyers to committed artists, everybody is welcomed.

The Sculpture Guild is an organization aimed at forming an inclusive community centered around the creation, dissemination, and preservation of sculpture and other forms of art made by its members. We want to create a space where students are enabled to think and create freely while building a community of artists on campus. We function as an art club (focusing on sculpture), providing Hamline students with the space and resources to find their creativity along with their peers.

We create events and programming specifically targeted for those that live on campus, although all are welcome to attend. We try to build up campus culture by hosting annual events like tradition.

R.I.S.E. Yoga provides free and accessible yoga classes from certified instructors for Hamline students. Our weekly classes allow students to move their bodies, release stress, and learn more about the practice of yoga. Yoga mats and blocks are provided. All skill levels are welcome!

Quiz bowl is a game in which teams compete head-to-head to answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, math, and more. Join our weekly practice to experience what it's like to be in a quiz bowl competition, or join our causal, fun, hopefully monthly trivia events!

The National Honor Society of Psychology, Psi Chi encourages excellent scholarship and provides pre-professional enrichment opportunities for students interested in psychology. Psi Chi also aims to recognize and promote excellence in the science and application of psychology.

The pre-health club is an organization for students interested in entering the healthcare/medical field. The Organization's goal is to build a network between healthcare professionals and students by helping them with their job search in the healthcare field to kickstart their careers.

This club strives to empower all eager learners by growing a Hamline community that facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge between students, alumni, faculty and industry professionals in realm of business and personal finance Our mission aims to:   

1.  Invest the endowment funds granted to PIC (~$400,000) in order to learn more about investing and grow the university’s wealth

2. Teach students about the different aspects of personal finance and investing. 

3. Bring speakers to campus from various financial and investing fields to gain professional perspectives and networking opportunities

4. Create a support network for those going into, or who are interested in, the field of finance, investing, and business

5. Ensure that Hamline University students have the basic knowledge needed upon graduation to start their financial lives prepared and well-informed.

Here at Piper Impact we are dedicated to all things civic engagement!  Our mission is to get Hamline students connected with our community organizations to volunteer and make a difference. We work directly with individual students, departments, and other student organizations to connect them to volunteer opportunities that align with their values and passions.

Pickleball is a great way to stay active and have fun. Our goal as a club is to create an environment where people can learn to play pickleball and have fun.

The Hamline Peer Wellness Education program is dedicated to fostering student-to-student communication about common health concerns that arise during college, and proactively promoting student wellness. The Peer Wellness Educators specialize in areas of mental health, physical health, sexual health, relationships, and decisions around drug and alcohol use. We plan events to engage with the community that facilitate thought surrounding the health of students, as well as fun!

The Neuroscience Club is designed for neuroscience majors but is open to students in related majors as well. It is a place for students interested in neuroscience to share ideas, plan and host neuroscience-related events, and to get to know each other. We like to host guest speakers within the field of neuroscience (e.g. graduate students, professors, researchers, medical professionals, etc.), hold research talks, and put on social events for our members and the campus community.

The Multi-Faith Alliance unites student leaders from Jewish Student Life (JSL), Christian Campus Ministry (CMM), Muslim Student Association (MSA), and HU Meditation and Mindfulness (HUMM) together across traditions. All are welcome to participate — religious and non-religious alike.

We are Hamline University's chapter of "Morgan's Message", a non-profit advocating for student-athlete mental health. "Morgan's Message" strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. Help us end the stigma amongst student-athletes by taking a shot at mental health!

Over the past eighty years, InterVarsity has served as a Christian organization for students across the Twin Cities area, and the US. InterVarsity is for all students; those who are simply curious, and those who wish to grow their faith with God. Intervarsity values community, leadership development, growing in faith, and welcoming all students. Our weekly bible study focuses on finding deeper understanding of scripture as community.

IGC is an organization dedicated to the expansion of Greek life on campus, and serves as a governing body for all Greek orgs on campus. Specific events that IGC hosts are trash pickups, blood donation clinics, and Greek information nights, as well as a yearly Greek summit and Greek week. IGC also mediates disputes between Greek orgs and maintains inter-org relations. All members of Hamline campus are free to attend IGC meetings, but only elected delegates from Greek orgs are able to vote.

Hamline Photography Club is a student organization that it looking to provide opportunities to students who enjoy taking pictures. Come join us at any of our meetings or events to share in our enthusiasm!

The Hamline Climbing Club is open to all Hamline students with any interest in rock climbing and bouldering! No previous climbing experience necessary, just a good attitude and an interest in learning. We want to welcome everyone at every level! Meetings are held twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. We meet in the Anderson Forum at 6 pm before carpooling to the climbing gym. Climbing with the club is 100% free, so do not worry about purchasing a climbing gym membership or climbing gear.

Hmong Student Association was created in 1995 and is part of the Hedgeman Center for Student Initiatives and Diversity and Inclusion. HSA is an organization that exposes members of the Hamline community and outside the community to contents such as Hmong history, culture, and traditions. HSA was established to provide a strong academic and social support system for members on campus through meetings and social activities. To improve the Hamline community and the broader Hmong community by serving as a resource.

The Hamline University Programming Board (HUPB) is a student-led event planning team within the Student Activities & Leadership Development office. HUPB coordinates between 40-50 events per year for the Hamline community, specifically for undergraduate students. Hamline University Programming Board (HUPB) aims to create an inclusive and fun environment by students, for students, to come together and learn by providing a diverse offering of activities to foster engagement and connection within the HU community

Organization aims to create a community that emboldens students, embraces differences, and works together to create a welcoming environment for budding leaders. Our main events include: - Kindness Days, which serve our goal of creating a more positive campus by embracing radical positivity and encouraging students to lead the way to a kinder, brighter future! - General Meetings where we discuss current campus events and outside events related to leadership. Occasionally, we get the chance to invite a speaker onto campus to talk about their journey and give advice and tips! - Spring Leadership Week events. - Collaborations. - Leadership events where we introduce academic topics and pre-professional skills.

A club for people who enjoy board games, video games, and tabletop RPGs. We focus on providing a social space for students who may have trouble attending larger on-campus events.

First Generation Scholars is a dynamic organization dedicated to supporting first-generation college students throughout their academic careers. Our community offers a wealth of resources, including personalized guidance, mentorship programs, and networking events. Whether you’re navigating the complexities of higher education or preparing for life after college, we’re here to empower you every step of the way.

The Anime and Manga Club are about appreciating Japanese animation and story creation. It is a fun club for people interested in anime shows and manga/comic books to discuss it. The Anime and Manga Club explores other topics such as games, pop culture, and media. If it's animated, we love it! We also do things like planning events, cosplaying, and going to conventions centered around the love of Japanese culture and animated media.

Unidos is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for Hispanic students at Hamline University, where we can come together to celebrate our cultural diversity and share our unique experiences with the campus community.

The Hamline Undergraduate Student Congress (HUSC) is the student-led legislative advocacy group at Hamline, working hard to represent you! Every undergraduate student is a member of HUSC and can vote on most issues that come before the HUSC Council. If you want to serve as an elected representative or appointed officer in HUSC, we have elections in the fall and spring! HUSC collaborates with members of our Hamline community as well as community organizations and leaders in the Twin Cities. Hamline Students for Justice is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting social justice, equity, and human rights within the Hamline University community. Our purpose is to raise awareness about pressing social issues, advocate for marginalized groups, and foster a campus environment that encourages students to engage in meaningful conversation.

HPAC aims to further prepare students for professional careers in the performing arts following graduation with workshops, collaborative events, and skill building opportunities. We focus on building professional connections, community among students, and networking skills before students enter the industry. We aim to give students these hands-on experiences and opportunities to grow in the performing arts in a number of ways whether they hope to work as an on-stage performer or behind the scenes. We also serve as a resource center for students of the Hamline Community to connect them to auditions, workshops, filming, and other performance and tech opportunities across the Twin Cities.

Hamline Martial Arts Club seeks to provide a safe space where those who are seeking to learn may do so through training and those with experience may do so through sharing their journey.

Hamline Marketing Association is not just an organization for marketing students, but one that welcomes students from all majors interested in branding, communications, and creativity. We aim to improve your professional career skills by working with local businesses and marketing professionals. Join us, and let’s make marketing fun, inclusive, and innovative!

The Hamline Indigenous Peoples Society aims to weave indigenous knowledge in an academic space to foster a vibrant community on campus, dedicated to advocacy, education, survival, and resilience for all of our relations.

The Hamline Gardening Club is a student-led organization dedicated to urban agriculture, sustainable food practices, and community building. Members meet weekly to maintain campus garden plots, learn about food justice, and explore the connections between agriculture, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. The club grows fresh produce, hosts educational workshops, and provides opportunities for students to engage with hands-on gardening and sustainable living practices. Through collaborative gardening and shared meals, members explore food access, land stewardship, and the role of agriculture in community wellness.

The Hamline University Esports Team provides an opportunity for students to develop and grow their passion and skills around competitive gaming in a University-sponsored setting, matching the growing national trend around esports.

HEEP has been created to fill the gap on campus for those individuals who wish to get involved with sustainability and environmental projects on campus, and for those who wish to learn more about environmental issues without committing to a whole class. HEEP hopes to establish and nurture an ongoing, reciprocal relationship with Hamline’s community, other student organizations, and the greater Hamline-Midway communities. We hope to do so by pursuing collaborative projects and by creating a richer dialogue about environmental issues and potential solutions both on and off campus that feels open to everyone, and which individuals even outside of the Environmental Studies Program will be aware of.

The Hamline Book Society is a student led organization where we read, share, and create a safe space for readers to actively engage with a like-minded community. The goal of HBS is to make literature more accessible to the student body and get Hamline University community members more involved in book discussions. We also have events centered around pop culture, such as; book to movie/tv adaption watch parties, booktok/booktube/bookstagram trivia, and more!

Hamline African Student Association (HASA) is committed to nourishing cultural, intellectual, political, and economic awareness of the African continent. HASA seeks to create a forum where Africans and others can come together to openly discuss issues concerning Africa and Africans, while educating the university and community at large about Africa and its rich cultures and values.

The aim of the Hamline Accounting club is to offer reliable and comprehensive insights into the accounting profession, while also serving as a platform for students to network and grow together as professionals. Members will have the chance to explore related fields, engage in discussions on current affairs, and benefit from knowledgeable guest speakers.

A large portion of the Hamline community are criminal justice majors! This org will be a space for discussions, events, and meeting people with similar interests. It is open to everyone! We hope to learn more about careers in the criminal justice system and learn from professionals in the field. We also hope to do volunteer work in the city of Saint Paul. If you have any interest in Criminal Justice please join us for meetings!! 

*30x30 is a national initiative to help increase the number of females in law enforcement. This organization is a mentorship between Hamline University and the Saint Paul Police Department. To help female-identifying students who are interested in law enforcement, to become more knowledgeable about careers and other ideas of their future after graduation.

The Global Student Society (GSS) welcomes both international and domestic students. We are an organization that aims to connect domestic students with international students, and ultimately promote diversity. Our executive board puts together a variety of different events for members to enjoy.  We typically put together smaller events,  where we come together and enjoy food from a certain country such as Vietnam, Ethiopia, Mexico, etc, watch global films, and talk about culture and nationalities. Last year we hosted trips to the state fair, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, etc. Come join!

The Fulcrum Journal aims to stimulate a collaborative community for the undergraduates of Hamline University that allows for the creative discourse of written and visual arts. These works allow for students of all backgrounds to participate in, and seek truth. We strive to be a home for the exceptional, yet diverse eyes, ears, hands, and hearts of Hamline University—a space where student’s creative work can live.

Feed Your Brain is a student-led initiative to increase awareness of food insecurity on college campuses, increase food access for Hamline students, and provide other resources to help students work towards food justice. Feed Your Brain was involved in the creation of the Food Resource Center on campus, as well as ousting Aramark as Hamline's food provider. We continue to work based on student input to tackle any food-centered issues on campus.

Fashion and Beauty club strives to foster an inclusive environment for students to explore the art of fashion. We encourage students to engage with fashion from an academic perspective, as well as participate in our craft-related events. Some of the events we've hosted in the past include sewing workshops, clothing drives, style workshops, crafts, and our annual spring fashion show.

Mission statement: A student-led organization with the purpose of providing students with a space to learn about drag and use it to express themselves freely. Drag is an art form that includes drag queens, kings and things. 

Future possible events:

- Open-mic Drag Shows where students art is showcased on the stage! (The Co-presidents will host)

- Workshops related to the fashion and performative aspects of drag (e.g. make up, Rhine stoning, costuming/styling, lipsync tips, etc)

- Educational meetings to convey the history of drag. (e.g. ballroom scene, focusing on queer BIPOC, drag performers in history, drag theater history, pageantry, etc)  - Movie/TV nights dedicated to drag oriented/iconic queer films. (e.g. "To: Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar", "Kinky Boots", "Pose", "Paris is Burning", etc)

The Co-Presidents are both drag performers, Miles From Nowhere (Raine) and Zestina the Drag Queen (Liam). They hope to see this club grow on campus to spread love and support for growing drag artists, furthering inspiration and education!

East African Student Union aims to bring East African communities together. Our organization promotes cultural awareness of diverse ethnic backgrounds and provides a welcoming space on campus for students of such backgrounds but also to the rest of the Hamline community. We wish to educate members about the different aspects of East African culture through introducing who we are, showcasing talents and performance, and informing the student body of social justice matters that are relevant in our world today. Ultimately, we aim to act as a collective voice for students through uniting the voices of our diverse East African communities.

Delta Tau Sorority is a philanthropic organization located in Saint Paul, Minnesota and affiliated with Hamline University. Delta Tau Sorority pledges to promote friendship, responsibility, and service to Hamline University, the surrounding community and each other. Through offering a supportive environment, we hope to cultivate lasting friendships enabling us to grow, share, and help others. We wish to secure intellectual, educational, social and recreational benefits derived from fellowship among our members. Members of Delta Tau wish to serve a higher purpose by offering our friendship and service to the entire community in and around Hamline University.

Data Club (formerly Data Science and Analytics Club) empowers students to navigate the world of data, fostering both data literacy and pre-professional skills. We help students understand the importance of reading and interpreting data, while also providing essential career development support. This includes guidance on networking, resume building, and other crucial skills needed to succeed in the data-driven world. 

We bridge the gap between academic interests and real-world applications of data science and analytics, preparing students for the demands of the field. In today's job market, proficiency in query languages and visualization programs is highly valued. Data Club ensures our members develop these in-demand skills, giving them a competitive edge and positioning them for success in the years to come.

Crafting Club is a place to decompress with your friends or just have fun cutting and gluing. There will be music and supplies provided! Remember to check the event calendar to see what's happening each crafting week. We have some fun things planned and hope you can join us!

The mission of the Chemistry Club is to create a community of students who share an interest in the sciences and provide an opportunity to participate in career development programs and post baccalaureate education planning and advising. Throughout the year we host meetings, contests, collaborations, and fun events like trivia nights.

Camp Kesem is a national nonprofit organization that works year-round to raise money and host events in order to support families affected by a parents cancer. Our main programming events are Make the Magic (a fundraising gala) and our week of camp during the summer, which is FREE to kids aged 6-18 who are affected by a parent or guardians cancer. Hamline's chapter of Kesem focuses on empowering student leaders to serve our community in a diverse number of ways, join our Kesem family, and build meaningful relationships.

Bringing community and strength to Hamline University through the empowerment of black women alike. We're about creating a sense of inclusion as well as familiarity on campus.

Black Student Collective Founded in 1969 as “Promoting Racial Identity, Dignity and Equality,” PRIDE is an organization that serves as a support system for student members as well as an educational tool for the campus and community. Richard Jones, a sophomore at the time, was elected as the first president. From its inception, PRIDE represented and was inclusive of all students of color, as well as white students and international students.

-To foster the advancement of science and service to society through membership in the club.

-To gain ideas of various opportunities for study and work in the field of natural sciences: biology, exercise science, chemistry, neuroscience, etc.

-To provide students with information and literature concerning graduate, occupational, and further educational studies.

-To provide students with exciting and fun events, dealing with the sciences.

-To provide STEM students a community and support system.

Best Buddies is an organization in schools dedicated to creating one-to-one friendships between individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their peers. The mission of Best Buddies is to promote inclusion, acceptance, and personal growth by fostering meaningful relationships. Through a range of programs and fun events, Best Buddies aims to combat social isolation and empower individuals with IDD by integrating them into various aspects of community life.

"We are dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of badminton. We bring together players of all skill levels and provide them a place for them to engage, learn and enjoy the game! Our goal is to promote a vibrant and inclusive community for players to connect and share their passion."

The purpose of ASL club is to provide a resource on campus to those who are in Deaf/HOH communities, as well as those who are interested in learning ASL as a way to communicate. The club works to provide learning opportunities and resources for students of all hearing abilities to learn ASL. It also works to provide community for those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Our general meetings are open to people of all hearing abilities who want to learn, as we will be learning together as well as using this space to share experiences and practice.

Our mission is to promote the discipline of Anthropology, to provide a forum for the discussion of anthropological and cultural issues, to promote cultural awareness, to foster the understanding of Anthropology and its many sub disciplines, and to provide activities that enrich and expand cultural awareness. The Anthro Society welcomes members of all majors; you did not need to be an anthropology major to take part in our meetings, discussions, and events.

Asian Pacific American Coalition is a organization that supports API students at Hamline University academically, culturally, socially, and politically; While educating/raising awareness about API history and culture. We also serve as a medium for students to voice and express their concerns, interests, and needs, promoting multiculturalism/diversity on campus by celebrating Asian cultural events, including Asian Heritage Month, Lunar New Year, and more. We work with the Hamline community to promote and increase API traditions and historical representation.

JSL is a student organization at Hamline that's dedicated to fostering a sense of community for Jewish students and spreading knowledge of Judaism to others. 

Trained volunteers serve as Literacy Mentors, Virtual Literacy Mentors, and Virtual Minders and provide structured relationship based tutoring in service to the children of St. Paul.

Did you know that Project Home serves over 25,000 meals at the Provincial House each year? That's not counting the afternoon and evening snacks we serve families every day!

On the weekends, we have a lower staff-to-guest ratio and we could use your support at meal times. Every Saturday and Sunday (and some holidays!), teams of volunteers are needed to assist at lunch and dinner at Project Home at the Provincial House, located at 1880 Randolph Avenue.

Our Weekend Chef Omar will take care of the main meal preparation. 

Meal Teams are composed of about 3-6 adults; supervised older children are welcome to sign up. Please bring your own hat, hairnet, or other hair covering.

Faithful Hospitality provides mobile shelter in St. Paul houses of worship to help Hennepin County deal with an overflow of families experiencing homelessness, especially families seeking asylum. The initiative, supported by the State of Minnesota, alleviates capacity challenges in shelters, decreases costs of serving
families experiencing homelessness, and empowers interfaith partners to live out their faith values.

Each month, two to three different area churches, synagogues, and schools host 20-24 emergency shelter beds. We strive to provide a site, volunteers, and a safe, clean, comfortable place for children and their parents/guardians to spend the night until they can transition into housing.

We need enthusiastic volunteers to serve as overnight hosts to help provide a safe, welcoming haven and compassionate support, especially for asylum seekers. Overnight hosts are on duty from 7pm to 7am weekdays and 7pm to 8am on weekends. Resources and training are provided for hosts.

Help With Community Awareness and Advocacy

Are you looking to learn more about the importance of affordable housing in your community? Are you looking to gain leadership/board experience? Consider joining a CommonBond Community Advisory Board!

Community Advisory Board members help to advance the goal of creating and sustaining homes for all. Connect with CommonBond Community residents and community leaders to learn firsthand about the successes and challenges our housing communities are facing.

As a board member you will have the opportunity to review the financial audit for a housing community and attend an annual meeting (60-90 minutes). This meeting will be scheduled around your availability and can be attended virtually. Financial literacy is helpful, but anyone with an interest in board service or affordable housing is encouraged to apply. The enrollment process consists of an application and brief phone interview.

CommonBond Communities believes that home is the foundation for everything in life. Access to affordable housing is the most fundamental indicator of long-term success. And more importantly, lack of access to a home can be overwhelming and isolating. That is why our mission begins with providing affordable, stable homes. When someone has an affordable place to live, children do better in schools, adults are more productive in their work, and families are able to contribute to their community.

Our Department of Indian Work distributes over 220,000 pounds of food to hundreds of individuals every year. We need dedicated volunteers to help clients shop as well as to restock our shelves. 

The food shelf's hours are:

Monday: 1:00 – 6:00 pm
Tuesday: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Wednesday: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Thursday: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Friday: Closed

At our Brooklyn Park Facility, volunteers assist with sorting, labeling, weighing and packing various food items to meet immediate needs and help feed our hungry neighbors! The projects vary from day to day and volunteers regularly work with fresh produce, dry goods, bread, and various donations. Volunteer shifts are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening Monday through Friday and every other Saturday at the Brooklyn Park facility. This volunteer position requires volunteers are able to twist and bend down, stand for the duration of their shift, and lift up to 5 pounds. Some positions require the ability to lift 40 pounds.
