The purpose of Spectrum is to provide awareness and a community of inclusivity about and for LGBTQ+ people, as well as those with related identities and allies. We encourage understanding, tolerance, and self pride by having meetings at least every other week that reflect these values as well as creating social events with the same mentality in mind. We support lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, and asexual identities, and allied individuals on campus and their families in times of crisis and in times of peace. Queer and Trans identities will be the focus of Spectrum's energies but will not be limited to as deemed by the membership of Spectrum.
