Who We Are

WE MOBILIZE THE INTERFAITH COMMUNITY TO BUILD ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY.

Interfaith Action harnesses the power of volunteers from diverse faith and spiritual communities to support families and individuals who are striving to achieve stability and economic mobility. We believe that opportunity grows and poverty recedes when people of faith commit themselves to making a difference.

While poverty and disparities threaten our community, we are rich with people in faith and spiritual communities who seek meaningful ways to relieve the effects of poverty and address its root causes.

Together with our interfaith community, Interfaith Action provides critically needed shelter for families, free legal assistance, and emergency services related to food and clothing. We also seek systemic solutions to poverty through programs focused on high-impact volunteering, learning events that advance understanding of the causes of poverty, and opportunities that bring clergy into conversation with civic leaders.

What We Do

WE BUILD ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY.

Our programs harness the power of thousands of volunteers from faith and spiritual communities who help us provide shelter for families, free food and clothing, tutoring and job coaching, and free legal assistance. We also bring together volunteers, civic leaders, and interfaith clergy for opportunities that build connection and understanding and that inform effective, responsible, and systemic action. Our programs offer faith communities accessible, meaningful opportunities to add vitality to their congregations and bring their faith to life.
